Our MultiDetector Profi indicated only two areas of activity. These spots were confirmed with the dowsing rods. Several orb photos were captured while these readings were being indicated, as well as several EVP. |

Sony Nightshot camcorder on tripod with almost of area in master bedroom where the resident indicated activity (confirmed by meters and rods); standard cassette recorder with external omnidirectional microphone placed on mantel in master bedroom as well. Digital recorder sitting on the bureau in the guest bedroom. Jessi with 35mm Digital Olympus camera, and Fuji 35mm camera. Starr with Canon Power Shot A510 35mm Digital Camera. Starr and Jessi dowsing. |
History of the Home/Area: |
Occupant reports the following: On first contact from resident, he indicated several instances of awaking during the night with feelings of being watched by something "evil" and being unable to move. I explained that this could possibly be a non-paranormal event, and I gave him information on Sleep Paralysis. He took the information to discuss with his partner. He called me back about 2 weeks later and was very upset. The previous evening he and his partner had been awakened during the night by the bed shaking, not violently but vigorously enough to wake them both fully. He said it continued for several minutes. Other instances he reported were feelings of dread when staying in the guest bedroom and being touched. |
Activity Witnessed: |
We did have several instances of moving energy while dowsing in the master bedroom, and both Jessi and I experienced extreme headaches when we entered the guest bedroom; we both pointed out that the energy drain seemed to be coming from the area of the bureau in the corner. It was then that the resident informed us that inside that bureau was stored two leather masks that had been worn the month before at Mardi Gras in New Orleans; these masks had also been worn during a ghost tours through the voodoo graveyard there. |
Investigation Findings: |
Jessi and I both followed the resident around the house, getting a feel for what was happening there. We all lingered silently in the rooms where activity had been reported, drawing our own impressions of the presences. We each sat down independently with the resident while the other waited outside to discuss what we had sensed in the home. After both of our reports had been given, the resident confided in us that we had both sensed the exact same presences in both rooms, matching almost every detail. He was very relieved because neither of us felt the presence in the master bedroom was threatening in any way. We spoke with the presence, explained that her actions were frightening the residents and asked her to please stop shaking their bed. We also told her that whatever it was that she was looking for was no longer there, and she was free to move on if she chose. Both Jessi and I felt that the presence in the guest bedroom was somehow connected to those masks, and we told him to remove them from the home to see if the activity remained. The presence there was frustrated and angry, and he didn't like sharing his space with others.
The resident promptly removed the masks from the home, and no further activity has been noted in the guest bedroom. The resident also reports they have had no problems with being awakened during the night in the master bedroom.
